Activity Overview
Experience an unforgettable waterfall abseiling adventure in Kitulgala, surrounded by lush
rainforest, flowing streams and the natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s hill country. Sandun Ella
offers a unique opportunity to experience a waterfall from a completely different
perspective, combining outdoor adventure with beautiful natural scenery.
Arrival & Safety Briefing
Meet our experienced adventure team at the designated Sandun Ella meeting point. After
registration, you will be provided with professional safety equipment, including a helmet,
harness and ropes. Your qualified guides will explain the activity, safety procedures and
abseiling technique before you begin.
Sandun Ella Waterfall Abseiling
Follow your guide to the starting point and begin your Sandun Ella waterfall abseiling
experience. Carefully descend the rocky waterfall face using the secured rope system, with
our experienced team providing guidance and support throughout the descent. Take in the
surrounding rainforest, cascading water and spectacular scenery as you make your way
down.
Waterfall & Nature Experience
At the bottom, enjoy a short walk around the waterfall area and take time to appreciate the
lush rainforest environment, natural rock formations and flowing water. There are also
opportunities to stop and capture memorable photographs of this beautiful Kitulgala
adventure.
Return Journey
After completing the waterfall experience, follow the designated rock and staircase trail
back towards the meeting area. Our guides will accompany you throughout the return
journey and assist where required.
End of Adventure
Return to the meeting point, where you can freshen up, change clothes and relax after your
adventure before continuing with your Sri Lanka itinerary.
Transportation
Transport within the activity area is included. Additional transportation beyond the
designated activity area can be arranged upon request, depending on your itinerary.
